Mall Day!

Today was Mall Day. We took our robot and eight team members to the Collin Creek Mall to be sure it is compliant and to test it on the official field. Our robot and drivers did very well. We were able to complete most of the course challenges.
We noticed some difference between our home field and the official one. We hot glued our corn stalks into their holes so they would not come out. The official field does not have this so the stalks come out pretty easily. The game officials say they should not come out easily, but it should be possible for them to come loose. We hope they find a way to 'stick' the stalks better on Hub day. We also noticed the lettuce heads were looser on their zip ties than ours are at home. This means they can flop off their beds and our drivers have to be careful to pick them up without knocking them out of reach.

We also submitted our engineering design notebook today and I am happy that task is completed. We still have work to do on our marketing presentation and booth.
